Then we spent our final day in ghastly Frankfurt, and wished we had stayed rein Kassel.

The Weihnachsmarkt had a very nice atmosphere with good food and drinks. The city center has all the usual shops. Grimmwelt is a very extensive museum with a nice (but expensive) restaurant. The annoying thing about Kassel is that they close a lot of things during certain periods of time.
